Month

November 2018

Eagle Scout Projects

Isa Siddiq, Michael Shuman, John Reilly, and Benjamin Siganoff have gotten their eagle projects approved and are going to start on them next year.

Isa will be helping the Attleboro Community Garden by digging and placing down a layer of weed cloth and about 5.5 yards of crushed blue stone in the front corner of the garden.

Michael will be refurbishing and researching the history of an old menorah found at Congregation Agudas Achim in memory of Abner David Suvall. He is also going to build a display shelf for the menorah.

John will be building an outdoor turtle enclosure for the Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary. He also will be planting a group of edible plants in a garden around the enclosure.

Benjamin will improve the Attleboro Community Garden shed by installing a loft area and raising the dirt level around the shed and adding shrubbery and/or flowers along the sides of the shed.

Hiking Club – F. Gilbert Hills

On 11/10 at 9AM our troop will be taking a 5 mile hike through F.
Gilbert Hills in Foxboro, MA. Any Scouts interested in earning their
hiking merit badge who did not attend the Mt. Wachusetts hike should
attend this hike. If your Scout is not interested in earning the
hiking merit badge but wants to join us, or if family members and
siblings would like to attend, please join us. Transportation is
available (see below). For this hike we have invited the Webelos and
AOL dens from Pack 25 to join us.

The Scouts would like to take Wolf Meadow Trail to the Acorn Trail up
to High Rock, then over to Sunset Lake. Along the way we’ll be
looking for mysterious stone structures believed to be placed by the
Alogonquin Indian Tribe, and supposedly there is a house with creepy
statues by Sunset Lake.

The hike will take approximately 3 hours, so please bring a lunch.

When: Saturday, November 10, 9AM
Where: Meet at F. Gilbert Hills Parking Lot on 45 Mill St., Foxboro,
